Theft Case Solved by Police Station Tral; Two Accused Apprehended, Stolen Gold Recovered

Awantipora, September 07:
Police Station Tral received a complaint on 28.06.2026 regarding the theft of gold ornaments worth approximately ₹12 lakh from the residence of Muzzafar Ahmad Mohand son of Late Ghulam Ahmad, resident of Sheerabad Bulli, Tral.
In this connection, FIR No. 80/2026 under Sections 305 and 331(4) BNS was registered at Police Station Tral, and investigation was taken up.
During the course of investigation, all available evidence, including technical inputs, was meticulously analysed. Sustained investigative efforts by the police team headed by SHO Police Station Tral, Inspector Tajamul Islam, led to the apprehension of two accused persons, namely Sajad Ahmad Mochi son of Noor Mohammad, resident of Larkipora Padgampora, presently residing at Shaheed Park, Pulwama, and Amir Rashid Ganaie son of Abdul Rashid Ganaie, resident of Khulbagh Batagund.
On their disclosure, stolen gold ornaments worth approximately ₹4 lakh have been recovered so far. Further investigation is underway, and additional recoveries and arrests are expected.
