*Traffic restrictions announced in Srinagar for International Film Festival today*

Srinagar, Sep 7, Traffic Police Srinagar has issued an advisory for September 7 in view of the 1st International Film Festival, warning of increased traffic movement towards the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) after 4 pm.
According to the advisory, no general traffic will be allowed on Gupkar Road between 4 pm and 7 pm. Only invitees, participants, VVIPs and staff associated with the event will be permitted to ply on the road during the period.
At Badyari Chowk/Brein Chowk, traffic heading towards SKICC–Nehru Park will not be allowed, except for hotel guests and locals residing in the area. Other traffic heading towards Nishat will be diverted towards Gupkar and Hazratbal.
Traffic coming from the Nishat/Harwan side will also be diverted towards Hazratbal. The advisory further states that Nishat-bound traffic will be diverted via Rainawari on the Badyari–Rainawari–Hazratbal–Nishat route.
The restrictions are scheduled to remain in force for three hours, from 4 pm to 7 pm on September 7, or until completion of the inauguration function.
Traffic Police has said emergencies will be allowed to take the shortest route and has asked citizens requiring assistance to contact Traffic Police Control Room No. 103.
The advisory has been issued by Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Traffic City Srinagar.
