Doda, Sept 08 A 45-year-old shepherd died after he accidentally slipped from a rugged mountainous track and fell into a deep gorge in the Kal Jugasar area of Doda district, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the shepherd was near his temporary shelter at Lakabar Dhar when he accidentally slipped from the mountainous track and fell into a deep gorge.
He said the shepherd sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot. He was later identified as Mohammad Hussain (45), son of Shaban Khanji, a resident of Lati Jar in Gandoh.
Meanwhile, the deceased’s body was shifted to his native village for final rites and other customary formalities, while further investigation has been taken up. —(KNO)
