Forest Department pays homage to Naveen Shah at Condolence Meet

SRINAGAR, MAY 09: Condolence meeting was held today at the headquarters of the J&K Forest Department, to pay rich tributes to Naveen Shah, who passed away today.
The meeting was attended by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF), J&K, along with senior officers, field staff, and members of the forest fraternity. A two-minute silence was observed by the gathering as a mark of respect to the departed soul, praying for eternal peace to the officer and strength to the bereaved family.
Addressing the gathering, the PCCF highlighted the distinguished career and immense contributions of Naveen Shah, who served the State Forest Department in the capacities of Divisional Forest Officer and Conservator of Forests. He remembered the officer as a dedicated, upright, and compassionate professional who served the J&K Forest Department with excellence in various capacities over the last two decades.
The officers present shared their reminiscences, describing Naveen Shah as a mentor to his juniors and a valued colleague known for his administrative acumen and gentle nature.
The proceedings concluded with the department expressing its condolences to the family of the late officer, noting that his passing represents a significant loss to the J&K Forest Department.
