Rains bring minimum temp down at most places in Kashmir

With overnight rains, the minimum temperature recorded a drop at most places in Kashmir Valley on Friday.

A meteorological department official here told that Srinagar received 8.7 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours till 0830 hours today, mainly since last evening.

During the time, he said rains eluded most parts of Jammu region with only Banihal in Ramban district receiving 1.4mm of rainfall, the official said.

Meanwhile, he said, Srinagar recorded a low of 14.6°C against 15.4°C on the previous night.

official sources added that, “there is no forecast of any major rain this week”.
