H&ME reconstitutes Dept committee to examine cases of doctors, other officials related to unauthorized absence, overstay on deputation

Srinagar: Health and Medical Education Department on Friday reconstituted a committee to examine the cases of doctors and other officials related to unauthorized absence, overstay on deputation, study leave and other such cases.

“In partial modification of Government Order No. 511-HME of 2018 dated 13.09.2018 read with Government Order No. 726-HME of 2018 dated 21.12.2018 & Government Order No. 749-JK(HME) of 2021 dated 30.11.2021, sanction is hereby accorded to the re-constitution of the Departmental Committee to examine the cases of doctors or any officer/official of subordinate office related to unauthorized absence /overstay on deputation/study leave or any other case of similar nature,” reads an order issued by the Secretary Health and Medical Education, a copy of which lies with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).

As per order Director Finance, H&ME Department will be chairman of the committee, Additional Secretary to the Government, H&ME Department (Dealing with Health Gazetted Section), Additional Secretary to the Government, H&ME Department (Dealing with HRM Section) Additional Secretary (Law), H&ME Department will be members of the committee while deputy Secretary to the Government, H&ME Department (Dealing with the Health Gazetted Section) will be member secretary of the committee.

“The aforesaid committee shall be assisted by the Section officer(s) and Head Assistant (s), Dealing with Health Gazetted & HRM Sections/any other section to which the case(s) pertains,” Order reads.

“It is further ordered that the Committee shall follow the proper schedule for holding meetings/deliberations that is the Member Secretary of the Committee shall obtain the detail of the cases from the concerned HOD by or before 7th of every month, Place the case(s) as received from the concerned HoDs before the designated committee on 15yb of every month for discussion/recommendations, the committee shall submit its recommendations to the authorities before 20th of every month. The concerned section shall dispose of the recommendations of committee by or before end of every month,” the order reads further—(KNO)
