Patwari caught accepting bribe in Budgam

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) trapped and arrested a Patwari in Budgam after he was allegedly caught accepting a ₹10,000 bribe for issuing a revenue extract (Fard).
The accused, identified as Bashir Ahmad Dar, Patwari Halqa Gund Ali Nayak, Waterrehal, Tehsil Khansahab, was allegedly demanding ₹12,000 from a complainant before the amount was settled at ₹10,000. Acting on a complaint, the ACB registered a case and conducted a trap operation, during which the official was allegedly caught red-handed. The bribe money was recovered, and further investigation is in progress.
