Kashmir transforming, Says PM Modi ‘Families going to cinema halls, enjoying late-night ice cream in Srinagar’

Ganderbal, Jan 13, : Prime Minister Narendra Modi Monday said that the situation in Kashmir has considerably changed and there is peace and progress everywhere.

During the inauguration of the Z-Morh tunnel in Sonamarg, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the transformative changes in Jammu and Kashmir, saying, “Today, people are enjoying ice cream at Lal Chowk late at night, and my artist friends from Kashmir have turned Polo View Market into a vibrant cultural hub. In Srinagar, families are visiting cinema halls and watching movies together. These are not just policies; these are visible changes that reflect a shift in the region’s environment.”

He also pointed out the success of recent events, stating, “A few months ago, an international marathon was held for the first time in Srinagar. The Chief Minister himself participated, and the video went viral. I personally congratulated him when we met in Delhi. This truly marks the beginning of a new era for Jammu and Kashmir.”

In a subtle reference to the restoration of statehood, the Prime Minister emphasized his commitment to fulfilling promises. “My name is Modi, and I stand by my word. The right actions are taken at the right time,” he said.
