Continuing its drive against the Drug peddlers , Awantipora Police arrested two drug peddler from Awantipora area.
During naka Checking at Kaigam Crossing, Police party of Police Post Toll Plaza headed by Incharge Police Post SI Ishfaq Ahmad arrested 02 drug peddler identified as
1. Zahid Ahmad Sheikh S/o Bashir Ahmad Sheikh R/o Hamdania Colony Bemina.
2. Mehraj Ahmad Ragga S/o Mohd Yousuf Ragga R/o Hamdani Colony Bemina.
The arrested persons were travelling in a vehicle ,which was signalled to stop and during search 65 gms of Charas like substance was recovered from the possession of the persons travelling vehicle.
Vehicle Taveera bearing registration number RJ14TB-6291 used in the commission of said crime has been seized.
Case FIR Number 213/2025 under section 8/20-29 of NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Awantipora.
