*War against drug continues* *Kulgam Police arrests one drug peddler;* *_contraband substance worth lakhs recovered_*
*April 14:* In its sustained efforts to root out the menace of drugs from the society, Kulgam Police apprehended one drug peddler and seized significant quantity of contraband substance of market value in lakhs from his possession.
Acting on specific information, swiftly a team comprising a police party of police station Kulgam and executive magistrate kulgam who rushed to the suspected spot at village Arreh near islamia hanfia institute and apprehended one person who during preliminary investigation revealed his identity as *Irfan Ahmad Raina son of Mushtaq Ahmad resident of Arreh, Kulgam*. After his personal search, *471 grams of Heroin* like contraband substance valuing in lakhs was recovered from his possession. Case vide FIR No. 34/2025 under section 8/21 NDPS act has been registered at Police Station Kulgam and further investigation is going on.
