DIGP DKR Range Reviews Security Arrangements for Upcoming Shri Mata Machail Yatra

DIG Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban (DKR) Range, Ms. Sargun Shukla (IPS), accompanied by SSP Kishtwar Naresh Singh (JKPS), visited the holy shrine of Shri Chandi Mata Machail to review security arrangements ahead of the upcoming Shri Mata Machail Yatra.
The DIG inspected security measures at the shrine, including access control, surveillance systems, and crowd management plans. She also interacted with deployed police personnel to assess operational preparedness.
Later, a comprehensive security review meeting was held at the District Police Lines (DPL), Kishtwar. SSP Kishtwar presented a detailed security plan covering Yatra lodgement centres, shadow areas, langar points, police assistance booths, Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs), route security, surveillance, and emergency response mechanisms.
The DIG directed officers to maintain a high level of vigilance, strengthen intelligence gathering, ensure proper deployment in vulnerable and high-altitude areas, and conduct regular equipment checks. She stressed seamless coordination among all security agencies and a pilgrim-friendly approach while ensuring zero tolerance towards any security lapse.
Appreciating the efforts of District Police Kishtwar, the DIG expressed confidence that the Shri Mata Machail Yatra would be conducted safely, peacefully, and successfully through coordinated and professional efforts.
