Police Intensify Crackdown on Illegal Soil Transportation in Baramulla; Three Dumpers Booked

August 14: Continuing its sustained drive against illegal mining and transportation of minerals, Police in Baramulla, during routine patrolling in Pattan, intercepted three dumpers found carrying soil without valid permission and requisite documentation.

The vehicles bearing registration numbers JK19-8134, JK01AV-1589 and JK19A-5558 were found transporting soil illegally. On verification, the vehicles were found to be operating without the necessary authorization from the competent authorities.

J&K Police immediately initiated necessary legal proceedings against the persons involved. The action was carried out in coordination with the Mining Department, and proceedings have been initiated under the relevant provisions of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act and other applicable legal provisions.

J&K Police reiterates its commitment to curb illegal mining and unauthorized transportation of minerals and ensure strict enforcement of the law across the district.
