*Independence Day-2026 Celebrated at Anantnag with Patriotic Fervour and Enthusiasm*

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated today at Shaheed Humayun Muzammil Government Degree College, Khanabal Anantnag, with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm.
The Hon’ble Chief Guest, Ms. Sakeena Masood Itoo, Minister for Education, Health & Medical Education and Social Welfare, along with SSP Anantnag Shri Amod Ashok Nagpure-IPS, inspected the impressive parade and took the salute at the march past presented by contingents of J&K Police, IRP, Women Police, CRPF, SOG, SPOs, Home Guards and students from various educational institutions.
The well-coordinated march past reflected discipline, unity, dedication and the unwavering spirit of patriotism, showcasing the preparedness and commitment of the participating contingents towards the national celebration.
The celebrations were further enriched by a vibrant cultural programme, wherein school students and local artists presented colourful performances on patriotic themes, national unity and the rich cultural heritage of Jammu & Kashmir. The performances received enthusiastic appreciation from the gathering.
The event was attended by Hon’ble MLAs, senior officers of the district administration and police, officers from various government departments, participating contingents, teachers, students, media persons and a large gathering of the public.
