*Three killed, three injured in Jalandhar road accident; Two deceased from Srinagar*

Jalandhar, Punjab, Aug 16 : Three people were killed and three others injured in a road accident in Bhogpur, Jalandhar, after a speeding Maruti Fronx collided with a roadside vendor before crashing into a tree, officials told Asian News Hub.

The roadside vendor, a Punjab resident, died in the accident, while two Srinagar residents travelling in the vehicle also lost their lives.

The deceased Srinagar residents have been identified as Ikhlas Qadir, son of Ghulam Qadir, and Aneek Amin, son of Mohammad Amin, both residents of Batamaloo, Srinagar.

Officials said three other occupants of the vehicle, all residents of Srinagar, sustained injuries and were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. (ANH)
