Anantnag, September 17, 2026:
Continuing its war against the drug menace, Anantnag Police arrested two persons during a naka/checking operation at Dugga Petrol Pump, Naibasti Khanabal.
A police party from Police Station Anantnag intercepted two persons, identified as Adil Ahmad Shah S/o Bashir Ahmad Shah R/o Naibasti, A/P BED College Donichak Anzalla, and Adil Ahmad Wani S/o Mohd Iqbal Wani R/o Krangsoo, Mattan Mohalla Khandipora.
During the search, a total of 10.31 grams of charas was recovered from their possession.
In this regard, FIR No. 314/2026 under Sections 8/20-29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Anantnag, and investigation has been set into motion.
Anantnag Police reiterates its commitment to intensifying the crackdown against drug trafficking and taking strict legal action against those involved in the illegal drug trade.
