Police apprehends three persons for gambling in Baramulla

June 18: Continuing its efforts to curb illegal activities, Police in Baramulla apprehended three persons while indulging in gambling activities within the jurisdiction of Police Station Tangmarg.

The individuals have been identified as Reyaz Ahmad Shah son of Ghulam Ahmad Shah, Ghulam Hassan Malik son of Ghulam Ahmad Malik, and Mohd. Ashraf Malik son of Mohd. Asadullah Malik.

During the raid, police recovered cash amounting to ₹11,500 along with playing cards being used for gambling. The recovered items were seized on the spot as per legal procedures.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 56 under Section 13 of the Gambling Act has been registered at Police Station Tangmarg, and further investigation is underway.

J&K Police remains committed to maintaining law and order and urges the public to report any unlawful activities in their areas.
