Srinagar, July 18 : Army personnel opened fire after detecting suspicious movement along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.
Sources told CNS that the movement was noticed in a forward area during the night, prompting troops to fire a few precautionary rounds to prevent any possible infiltration attempt.
They said a search operation was immediately launched in the area. However, there were no reports of any casualties or recoveries till the filing of this report.
The operation was continuing, while further details were awaited.
