DIG SKR Anantnag Chairs Security Review Meeting

KULGAM, SEPTEMBER 18: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) South Kashmir Range (SKR) Anantnag, Javed Iqbal Mattoo, IPS, chaired a security review meeting with officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF at Range Police Headquarters (RPHQ), Anantnag.
The meeting was convened to review the prevailing security situation, assess potential threats and vulnerabilities, and formulate measures to further strengthen the peaceful environment in the region.
Various aspects of the current security scenario, inter-agency coordination and contingency plans were discussed in detail during the meeting.
The participating officers briefed the DIG on the security arrangements put in place for public safety, maintenance of law and order, preparedness for anti-terrorist operations and other security-related matters.
DIG SKR stressed the need to further strengthen security around vulnerable targets and ensure foolproof security arrangements. He directed the officers to maintain close surveillance of vulnerable areas and remain alert to prevent any attempt by miscreants to disturb peace and security.
The DIG also emphasised effective coordination among all security agencies and maintaining a high level of operational preparedness to meet any emerging security challenge.
