Sakeena Itoo convenes public outreach camp at Koil Pulwama

PULWAMA, JUNE 19: Minister for Education, Social Welfare, Health and Medical Education, Sakeena Itoo, today convened a public outreach camp at Immunization Centre/Hospital Ground, Koil in Pulwama district to listen to the grievances, development concerns and aspirations of the people.
The Minister was accompanied by MLA Pampore, Justice (Retd) Hasnain Masoodi and MLA Zainapora, Showkat Hussain Ganie.
During the interaction, several deputations and individuals projected a wide range of public issues and developmental demands and submitted memoranda highlighting their concerns.
The issues raised included strengthening of healthcare facilities, improvement of educational infrastructure, augmentation of sports facilities, irrigation and sanitation-related matters, upgradation of public utilities and deployment of adequate staff in health and educational institutions among others.
The Minister gave a patient hearing to all the concerns and issued on-the-spot directions to the officers for prompt redress of genuine grievances. She emphasized the need for responsive governance and directed the officers to take immediate measures for addressing the public issues in a coordinated and time-bound manner.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Pampore Hasnain Masoodi said that such interactions provide an effective platform for addressing the genuine concerns of the people. He said that similar initiatives would continue in future to strengthen public participation in governance and ensure prompt resolution of public issues. He also appreciated the people for their active participation and constructive projection of their concerns.
MLA Zainapora Showkat Hussain Ganie, while addressing the gathering, said that the Minister’s visit to directly interact with the people and listen to their concerns at their doorstep reflects the government’s commitment towards inclusive and people-centric governance.
Addressing the gathering, Sakeena Itoo assured the participants that all their genuine issues projected during the camp would be addressed on priority. She expressed gratitude to the people for their valuable suggestions and active participation, stating that public feedback plays a vital role in shaping developmental priorities and improving service delivery.
Later, the Minister inaugurated a dental chair facility at NTPHC Koil aimed at strengthening the oral healthcare services in the area. She also visited Higher Secondary School Koil, where she reviewed the educational infrastructure and interacted with the school authorities regarding academic and institutional requirements.
