Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp for Nursing College students held at IUST

Srinagar: In continuation with the primary mission of the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development to increase awareness about entrepreneurship and innovation among the youth, an Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp was conducted for the students of Alamdar Memorial College of Nursing & Medical Technology (AMCN&MT), Chrari-i-Sharief Budgam on 19th July 2022 at CIED, IUST.
Prof. A. H. Moon, Dean Research IUST, presided over the function and spoke about the immense opportunities available for innovation, especially in the paramedical sector. He advised the students to think innovatively and use their skills not only to engage themselves but also to generate new employment avenues. Mr. Mohd. Shahid Khan, Consultant and Director of Softfinn Solutions, exhorted the students to jump out of their comfort zone and develop a Plan ‘B’ to prepare for any eventualities in the future. Dr. Parvez A. Mir, Director CIED, encouraged the students to look for innovations in common medical devices wherein CIED would provide the necessary support to convert the idea into a prototype. “Society before self should be your goal”, he said. The awareness camp was rounded off with a practical demonstration of harnessing the capabilities of Microsoft Excel in healthcare by Mr. Aatif Mohiuddin.
