Sajad Lone Vows to Abolish Police Verification and FIR Culture if Elected
Srinagar, May 20: People’s Conference chairman, Sajad Gani Lone on Monday said that he plans to eliminate the practice of lodging FIRs and the police verification culture if his party is voted into power.
Speaking to reporters after casting his vote, Lone emphasized that this initiative is a key priority for the People’s Conference.
“If voted to power, I promise to erase the FIR and police verification culture that is affecting our youth,” Lone stated. He highlighted that addressing these issues is a primary objective of his party.
When asked about the significant voter turnout in Kupwara and Baramulla, Lone noted that high voter participation has been a consistent feature in these areas. “We have 12 constituencies in the area, and it is always good to see people voting in large numbers,” he added.
