*Unidentified person jumps into Jhelum from Budshah Bridge, rescue Ops underway*

Srinagar, May 20 : An unidentified person allegedly jumped into the river Jhelum from Budshah Bridge in Srinagar’s Lal Chowk area on Wednesday late evening, officials said.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the person jumped into the river from the bridge late this evening.

He said that soon after the incident, police rushed to the spot, while teams from SDRF and River Police were pressed into service to launch a search and rescue operation.

Meanwhile, the identity of the person and the circumstances leading to the incident were not immediately known.—(KNO)
