Shopian, May 20, A youth was found dead outside a seminary in the Ranipora area of Shopian on Wednesday, officials said.
The deceased was identified as Barkat Ali Mantoo, son of Bashir Ali and a resident of Rasia.
Officials said the youth was found hanging outside the Darul Uloom.
The incident drew attention in the locality as residents and seminary associates gathered after learning about the death.
The circumstances surrounding the death were not immediately clear.
Police rushed to spot and initiated legal proceedings to ascertain the facts and circumstances leading to the incident.
