Srinagar, Aug 20 :Sopore Police have arrested the second accused involved in an alleged case of impersonation of police officials and extortion.
In a handout to GNS, the Police said that the first arrest was made on August 7, when one accused was held for allegedly impersonating a police official and extorting money from a complainant. Efforts were on to trace another person allegedly involved in the case.
In the latest development, police confirmed the arrest of the second accused, completing the arrests in FIR No. 194/2026.
With this, both accused involved in the case have been taken into custody.
Further investigation in the case is underway, police said.(GNS)
