Kangan, Aug 21 : An 18-year-old youth drowned in Nallah Sindh near Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district while taking a bath on Friday, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the youth drowned in Nallah Sindh near Dumping Park in the Kijpara area of Kangan.
He said that soon after the incident, police, along with local residents and the SDRF, rushed to the spot and launched a search operation to trace the missing youth.
The deceased was later identified as Danish (18), a resident of Rangpora Soura, Srinagar.
Meanwhile, an investigation has been initiated, while the rescue operation is underway.—(KNO)
