LG Terms Attack as Unjustifiable.
Srinagar,Oct 21:The body of the slain doctor, one of seven people killed in the major terror attack in Gagangeer area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday, arrived in his native village in Budgam district on Monday.
Eyewitnesses said that hundreds of people gathered at the home of the slain doctor to participate in his funeral.
The relatives said that such incidents have been affecting Kashmir since 1947, and this tragedy was not new to them.
They also said that the attack, which occurred at night, targeted workers who had come to Ganderbal to earn a living. The workers, hailing from different states, were innocent victims of terrorism, leaving their families in shock and grief.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has said that no nation or individual can accept such senseless killings.
Speaking at the Police Commemoration Day event in Srinagar, LG Sinha said such senseless violence cannot be tolerated.
“The attack is unjustifiable. Innocent lives were lost, and this cannot be accepted,” he stated. He urged the police force to take all necessary measures to track down those responsible and ensure they face strict punishment.
LG Sinha also expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and called for continued vigilance in combating terrorism in the region.
