Four residential houses damaged in Nowpora blaze

Srinagar, March 25: At least four residential houses were damaged in a fire incident in Nowpora area of Srinagar on Sunday late evening, official said

An official from F&ES department told that two double-storeyed residential houses, both with concrete construction and sheet roofs, were annexed to each other and involved in a fire incident in Nowpora on Sunday evening.

He said, cause of the fire is currently under investigation. The attic portion, including roofing, ceiling, and the first floor, along with household goods from both houses, sustained severe damage.

He said, additionally, some planks and mirrors from two adjacent residential houses were indirectly damaged due to heat, water, and smoke.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and their was no loss of life or injury to any.
