BJP Kashmir Condemns Alleged Remarks Against Prophet Muhammad (SAW), Seeks Strict Legal Action

Srinagar, June 25: BJP Kashmir Media Incharge, Adv. Sajid Yousuf Shah, has strongly condemned the alleged objectionable and irresponsible remarks made by Nazia Elahi Khan against Prophet Muhammad (SAW), describing the statements as unacceptable and harmful to communal harmony.
In a statement, Shah said the BJP firmly believes in the principles of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas” and asserted that provocative and derogatory remarks targeting religious figures have no place in the country. He said such statements are intended to create discord, disturb communal harmony, and undermine peace.
He further stated that freedom of expression cannot be used as a justification for insulting religious beliefs or hurting the sentiments of millions of people.
Shah also clarified that, contrary to certain media reports and circulating misinformation, Nazia Elahi Khan has no association with the BJP or the BJP Minority Morcha. He noted that this position had already been clarified by BJP National Minority Morcha President Jamal Siddiqui.
Announcing legal action, Shah said the BJP would lodge a formal complaint with the competent authorities in Srinagar and pursue strict action against the individual. He urged the authorities to take immediate action in accordance with the law to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
