*Two associates held in Pulwama, arms, ammo recovered*

Pulwama, Aug 25 : Security forces on Tuesday arrested two terror associates in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district and recovered a pistol, 12 rounds and a hand grenade during a joint operation in the Yarwan forest area of CB Nath in Rajpora, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the operation was launched by Pulwama Police in coordination with the Army’s 44 Rashtriya Rifles and 183 Battalion CRPF following specific intelligence inputs regarding the movement of suspected terror associates.
He said that during the search operation, the joint teams noticed two persons moving suspiciously towards CB Nath village from the forest area.
“The security personnel immediately intercepted and apprehended them. They were later identified as Latif Ahmad Deedad, son of Gh Mohammad Deedad, a resident of Lassi Daban, and Aejaz Ahmad Bajad, son of Nazir Ahmad Bajad, a resident of Bun Kha Bamnoo,” the official said.
He said a pistol, 12 pistol rounds and a hand grenade were recovered from their possession.
In connection with the recovery, a case under relevant sections of the Arms Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act has been registered at Police Station Rajpora and further investigation has been initiated, he said.—(KNO)
