*Eid-ul-Adha prayers conclude peacefully across Anantnag District; Police Officers join worshippers, exchange greetings*
*May 27:* “`Eid-ul-Adha prayers were offered peacefully across District Anantnag today amid an atmosphere of devotion, brotherhood, and communal harmony. Thousands of worshippers gathered at mosques, shrines, and Eidgahs across the district to offer special Eid prayers.
To facilitate the smooth and peaceful conduct of the congregations, elaborate security and traffic arrangements were put in place by Anantnag Police. Senior officers of District Police Anantnag visited major prayer venues, interacted with worshippers, and extended Eid greetings on the auspicious occasion.
SSP Anantnag, Shri Amod Ashok Nagpure (IPS), attended the Eid prayers and conveyed his heartfelt greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion. He interacted with worshippers and appreciated their cooperation in maintaining peace, harmony, and communal brotherhood across the district. In a gesture reflecting goodwill and police-public partnership, police officers also distributed sweets among worshippers at various locations after the culmination of prayers.
The main congregational prayers were held at Kaba Marg, Karim Dargah, Eidgah Ashajipora, and Khanqah-e-Hyderi Aishmuqam, where large numbers of devotees participated. All congregations concluded peacefully and passed off without any untoward incident.
