*Anantnag Police Conducts Inspection of Fertiliser Shops and School Chemical Laboratories*

As part of enhanced security measures ahead of the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026, Anantnag Police conducted a comprehensive inspection of fertiliser shops and chemical laboratories in various educational institutions falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bijbehara.
The inspection was carried out to verify the storage, handling, and maintenance of chemicals and fertilisers, while ensuring strict compliance with the prescribed safety and regulatory guidelines. Police teams also sensitised shop owners, school authorities, and laboratory staff regarding the safe custody and responsible use of chemical substances. They were advised to immediately report any suspicious activity or unauthorized procurement of chemicals to the nearest police establishment.
The exercise forms part of Anantnag Police’s preventive security strategy aimed at strengthening vigilance, preventing the misuse of hazardous substances, and ensuring a safe and secure environment ahead of the annual pilgrimage.
