As part of the comprehensive security and administrative preparations for the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY-2026), SSP Awantipora, chaired a briefing session with all Zonal Officers and Sector Officers.
During the meeting, the SSP reviewed the operational plan and stressed the importance of seamless coordination, professionalism, and strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Officers were briefed in detail about their roles and responsibilities and were directed to maintain close coordination with all stakeholders, ensure effective supervision in their respective areas, and remain prepared to respond promptly to any situation.
Special emphasis was laid on proactive policing, effective communication, and providing all possible assistance to pilgrims while maintaining a robust security grid. The SSP also instructed officers to ensure round the clock alertness, conduct regular field inspections, and promptly report any developments to facilitate timely action.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of Awantipora Police’s commitment to ensuring foolproof security arrangements and the smooth, safe, and hassle free conduct of SANJY 2026 through coordinated planning and dedicated field deployment.
