CRIME BRANCH JAMMU CHARGESHEETED A FRAUDSTER IN FAKE J&K BANK RECRUITMENT FRAUD CASE

Jammu, July 27: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Crime Branch Jammu, has filed a charge-sheet before the Ld. Court of Special Mobile Magistrate Passenger Tax Jammu against accused Ghulam Rasool Wani S/o Mohammad Asgar Wani R/o Parisabad Pora, Budgam in connection with FIR No. 05/2022 registered under
Sections 420, 465 and 468 IPC for allegedly cheating job aspirants by issuing forged appointment orders of J&K Bank.
The case registered on a written complaint lodged by Sandeep Kumar, who alleged that during 2019 the accused assured him to get employment as a Banking Attendant in J&K Bank. Believing the assurance, the complainant and other victim paid a total of
Rs. 2.00 lakh, including Rs. 1.00 lakh in cash and Rs. 1.00 lakh through cheque. The accused also collected their educational and other documents and handed over photocopies of purported J&K Bank appointment orders and a selection list.
The investigation revealed that the appointment orders provided by the accused were found fake &; forged and the accused had received the cheated amount in his bank account, it also came to know that the accused is involved in several similar cases registered with Crime Branch Jammu, Crime Branch Kashmir and Cyber Police
Kashmir relating to recruitment fraud and forgery.
On the basis of oral, documentary, electronic and circumstantial evidence collected during investigation, the final charge-sheet under Section 173 Cr.PC has been presented before the Ld. Court of Special Mobile Magistrate Passenger Tax Jammu for judicial determination.
The general public is advised to remain vigilant against such economic frauds and report any such incident to SSP Crime Branch EOW Jammu (Crime Branch, J&K).
