Srinagar 28 Apr (KDC): Meteorological department on Thursday said that they are expecting a brief spell of thundershower and hailstorm in areas of north Kashmir and Srinagar to Banihal.
An official of the MeT department in a statement to news agency Kashmir Dot Com said that due to a high temperature multiple thunderstorm cells have developed over many places of Kashmir mainly Kupwara, Baramulla, Srinagar to Banihal. “(We are) expecting a brief spell of Thundershower in these areas,” the official added.
He said that some pockets may receive hailstorms as well, although it would not last long.
Such events are a regular feature of the Pre-Monsoon season (April-June for J&K), the statement added. (KDC)
