*Anantnag Police Cracks Down on Illegal Transportation of Minerals, Two Tippers Seized.*
Anantnag, August 28, 2026:
Continuing its strict enforcement against illegal mining and transportation of minor minerals, Anantnag Police intercepted two tippers carrying illegally extracted boulders at Bidhard.
The intercepted vehicles bearing registration numbers JK05A-6814 and JK03M-9791 were being driven by Bilal Ahmad Bhat S/o Gh. Hussan Bhat R/o Magam, Kokernag, and Maqsood Ahmad Malik S/o Nazir Ahmad Malik R/o Adhaal, Vailoo, respectively.
Both vehicles were found transporting illegal boulders and were accordingly intercepted by the police. Cognizance of the matter has been taken and further legal proceedings are underway.
Anantnag Police reiterates its commitment to curbing illegal mining and transportation of minerals and warns that strict action will be taken against violators as per law.
