Bandipora, Dec 28, : Hajin town in Sonawari, Bandipora, has been reeling under a severe water crisis for the past three days, leaving residents distressed amid ongoing snowfall.
Locals informed agency that the town’s main water tank has failed to supply water, forcing them to fetch water from the Jhelum River to manage daily needs.
The water shortage has disrupted normal life, with even mosques unable to function properly. Women in the area have been particularly burdened, as they resort to carrying water from distant sources.
Locals have called on authorities to take immediate measures to restore the water supply and alleviate their hardships during these harsh winter conditions.
