Srinagar, Jun 29 (KNO): National Conference president Farooq Abdullah will attend the high- tea being hosted by Raj Bhavan here this evening while Peoples Democratic Party and Communist Party of India (Marxist) are unlikely to turn up.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief spokesperson, Suhail Bukhari hinted that the party president will not attend the meeting, saying that in the present circumstances, high-tea is not the priority for them.
“There is no mention of reasons behind inviting the leaders. The leaders have been invited for high-tea, which is not the priority for them during the prevailing situation,” he said.
National Conference president Farooq Abdullah confirmed his participation in the meeting. Peoples Conference Chief Sajad Gani Lone is apparently out of town.
CPI (M) leader and former Kulgam legislator, Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami is unlikely to attend the meeting due to his deteriorating health condition. On expected lines, BJP would join the high-tea being hosted by Raj Bhavan—(KNO)
