Anantnag, August 29, 2026:
Continuing its action against drug trafficking, Anantnag Police apprehended a person during routine patrolling at Haji Mohalla Barariangan, Uttersoo.
The accused, identified as Hamid Farooq Dar S/o Farooq Ahmad Dar R/o Brakpora, Anantnag, was apprehended by a police party of Police Station Uttersoo. During his search, Charas was recovered from his possession.
In this regard, FIR No. 88/2026 under Sections 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Uttersoo, and investigation has been initiated.
Anantnag Police reiterates its commitment to combating the menace of drugs and urges the public to extend cooperation in making the district drug-free.
