Man dies, two injured as under-construction roof collapses in Srinagar’s Downtown
A man died while two others were injured after the roof of an under-construction house collapsed in Srinagar’s Downtown.
A close relative of the deceased informed the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a man, who was reportedly working as a mason in the under-construction house, died, and two adjoining workers were injured after the house collapsed in Maharaj Gunj, Srinagar.
He said the workers were carrying out construction when the support of the structure suddenly gave way, resulting in the collapse of the house.
The injured were immediately shifted to the hospital for treatment, where one of them was declared brought dead on arrival. The other two persons are receiving medical aid.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Ismail Shuloo (58), son of Ghulam Rasool Shuloo. He is survived by his two sons and wife.
Meanwhile, the police have initiated an investigation, while a wave of sorrow swept the area as people began visiting the deceased’s home to offer condolences—
