*Kulgam Police Recover 64 Grams of Heroin-Like Substance; Three Arrested at Qazigund*
Continuing its drive against drug trafficking, Kulgam Police recovered 64 grams of Heroin-like substance in two separate incidents during dynamic naka checking on NH at Qazigund and arrested three persons.
In the first incident, during dynamic naka checking near Shampora Bridge, an Innova vehicle bearing registration No. JK03M-3700 was intercepted. During checking, 20 grams of Heroin-like substance was recovered from the armrest storage box of the vehicle. The driver was identified as Jamsheed Ahmad Dar S/O Gh. Ahmad Dar R/O Meej, Pampore.
In the second incident, during dynamic naka checking near Dalwach Crossing, an i20 vehicle bearing registration No. JK01AK-4045 was intercepted and checked. The vehicle was being driven by Shah Rukh S/O Syed Iftikar Qureshi R/O Karan Nagar, accompanied by Nadeem Qazi S/O Late Qazi Gh. Rasool R/O Rawalpora. During checking, 44 grams of Heroin-like substance was recovered from their possession.
Accordingly, Case FIR No. 234/2026 under Sections 8/21 NDPS Act and FIR No. 235/2026 under Sections 8/21 NDPS Act have been registered, and investigation in both cases has been taken up.
