Anantnag Police Seize Properties Worth 1 Crore in Major Crackdown on Narcotics Offenders

Anantnag South Kashmir, December 30 –CNS :- In a significant move to curb the growing drug menace and dismantle narcotics networks, Anantnag Police have attached properties worth 1 crore under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. This latest action highlights the district’s commitment to tackling drug-related crimes and serves as a stern warning to offenders.
Nowshera, Srigufwara: A single-storey residential house and one Kanal of land, valued at 20 lakhs, have been seized from Bilal Ahmad Rather, son of Wali Mohammad Rather, a resident of Nowshera, Srigufwara. Rather is implicated in FIR No. 57/2021 under Section 8/18 of the NDPS Act, which involves the recovery of a significant quantity of narcotics.
Sirhama, Srigufwara: A residential house on a one-Kanal plot, worth 40 lakhs, has been attached from Mohammad Ashraf Ganaie, son of Mohammad Ramzan Ganaie, resident of Sirhama, Srigufwara. Ganaie is involved in FIR No. 99/2021 under the NDPS Act, linked to the seizure of a substantial quantity of contraband substances.
Ainoo, Aishmuqam: A residential house valued at 40 lakhs, owned by Rouf Ahmad Nanda, son-in-law of Gull Mohammad Tantray, a resident of Ainoo, Aishmuqam, has been seized. Nanda is implicated in FIR No. 34/2022 under Sections 8/15-29 of the NDPS Act.
The properties have been taken into custody by the authorities, and will remain under their control until the conclusion of legal proceedings. This decisive action is aimed at targeting the financial infrastructure of drug trafficking networks and sending a strong message to those involved in the illegal narcotics trade.
