In Love With Own Sister, Kerala Man Drowns 2-Year-Old Niece In Well

In a shocking incident in Balaramapuram, Thiruvananthapuram, a man murdered his two-and-a-half-year-old niece by throwing her into a well. The accused confessed that his unrequited love for his sister, the child’s mother, drove him to commit the crime.
An officer of Balaramapuram police station said that a case of unnatural death was lodged in connection with the death of the child and additional charges would be filed as the investigation progresses
The child’s body was found in a well located in the backyard of the house.

The police have arrested the maternal uncle of the child, Harikumar. They said that the accused had tried to have an illicit relationship with his sister, Sreetu.
The accused confessed that he killed the child when he saw her as an obstacle to his needs. He confessed after interrogation, during which the police collected WhatsApp chats between him and Sreetu.
Speaking to reporters, another officer said that further arrests may also be made in future, adding that the reason for the child’s murder is not yet clear.
