*If Ruhullah leaves NC, he will go alone, party will remain unaffected: Javed Rana* *Says NC remains united under Farooq Abdullah, Govt strong under CM Omar; expresses hope for early restoration of statehood*

Jammu, Oct 31 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir Minister Javed Ahmed Rana on Saturday said that if National Conference MP Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi decides to leave the party, he will go so alone, asserting that his departure would have no impact on the party or its organisation.
Speaking to reporters in Jammu, Rana, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said the National Conference remained united and there is no resentment within the party.
“If Aga Sahib decides to leave, he will leave alone. Why would his departure affect the party? The organisation will remain united,” Rana said.
Dismissing reports of internal differences following the recent cabinet expansion, the minister said both the party and the government remained strong under their respective leaderships.
“I can say with complete confidence that there is no resentment. The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference is strong, the government under Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is strong and the party organisation under Dr Farooq Abdullah stands united like a rock,” he said.
Rana, said some legislators might feel disappointed over not being accommodated in the Council of Ministers. “Every MLA wants to become a minister, but the available positions are limited. Naturally, there may be disappointment among those who could not become ministers,” he said.
Expressing optimism over the restoration of statehood, Rana said Jammu and Kashmir would regain statehood soon, paving the way for the appointment of more ministers. “Insha’Allah, statehood will be restored very soon and more ministers will also be appointed,” he added.—(KNO)
