IUST’s DJMC students visited media organizations

Awantipora, Aug. 24. The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at the Islamic University of Science and Technology organized students’ visit to the offices of Daily Uqab, Kashmir Scan and Era of Kashmir to provide students with real-world insights into the field of journalism and mass communication

The students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the dynamic world of journalism and of interacting with seasoned professionals at these media organizations thereby gaining invaluable perspectives on the evolving landscape of journalism and the various career paths they can explore.

Students visited different sections of Newspaper operations up close, from news gathering to editing and layout. This hands-on experience provided a holistic view of the journalism process and allowed students to apply classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios.
