IUST in collaboration with J&K police organizes seminar on New Criminal Laws

Awantipora, June 11 – A one-day seminar on New Criminal Laws was organized at the
Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) in collaboration with the Jammu and
Kashmir Police, Awantipora. Themed "One Day, One University," the event aimed to bridge
the gap between law enforcement, judiciary, and the youth.
The seminar provided a platform to students and scholars to gain a deeper understanding of
the new criminal laws and their application. Senior officers from the J&K Police and
Prosecution interacted with the participants and delivered talks. The programme was chaired
by Prof Waseem Bari, Registrar and was attended by scholars, students, faculty and other
officers. Dr Heeba Din from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication
moderated the programme.
