_Refused 2 Crores per candidate BJP offer to diluted PAGD & contest elections_
*Srinagar, Oct 08:* Awami National Conference Senior Vice President Muzzafar Shah delivered an impactful appeal to the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India during a press conference, calling for suo moto action against the unprecedented decision to nominate five MLAs in Jammu and Kashmir even before the Assembly results are declared.
Shah expressed grave concerns over this move, labeling it an arbitrary and blatant constitutional violation, highlighting the BJP’s desperation to gain control in the region.

He urged all political parties in the region to prioritize the restoration of statehood before any government formation, stressing that preventing the BJP from coming to power is critical.
Shah further emphasized that the reinstatement of statehood and Article 370 must be central to any future government’s agenda, regretting the fragmentation of the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD), which originally advocated for these causes but failed to stay united.
In a shocking disclosure, Shah revealed that the BJP had approached him two years ago, offering two crores per candidate to secure his participation in the elections, with promises of support from members of the National Conference, Apni Party, independents, and even within his own party.
Shah firmly rejected the offer, remaining loyal to his values. He also mentioned that just a week ago, a senior BJP leader had requested a meeting with him, which he again refused, reiterating his commitment to the people of J&K and the integrity of the democratic process.
