Srinagar, Sept 13: National Conference (NC) president, Dr Farooq Abdullah on Saturday expressed deep sorrow over the demise of eminent surgeon and academician Prof Dr Ashiq Hussain Naqshbandi, former Principal, Dean, and Head of the Department of Surgery at Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar.
In a condolence message issued here, Dr Abdullah described Dr Naqshbandi as a beacon of dedication and service in the field of medicine. “His unwavering commitment to his profession and his selfless service to the people will remain a lighthouse for generations of doctors to come,” he said.
Among others, the party’s General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Advisor to CM Nasir Aslam Wani, and Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq also expressed condolence with the bereaved family.
