Washington, Jan 19 US President Donald Trump has formally invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to join a major international initiative aimed at solidifying peace in the Middle East and evolving a new global approach to conflict resolution.
In a letter issued from the White House as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, President Trump described the effort as a “critically historic and magnificent” mission to establish lasting peace, particularly in the Gaza region, while setting a broader framework for resolving global conflicts.
Referring to his announcement of the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict on September 29, 2025, Trump said the 20-point roadmap had been embraced by world leaders, including heads of state from the Arab world, Israel and Europe. He further noted that the United Nations Security Council overwhelmingly adopted Resolution 2803 on November 17, endorsing the plan.
The US President said the next phase involves translating the vision into action, with the establishment of The Board of Peace, a new international organisation and transitional governing administration aimed at ensuring lasting stability in the region.
Highlighting India’s global leadership role, Trump said the initiative would bring together a select group of nations willing to shoulder the responsibility of building durable peace and investing in a secure and prosperous future for coming generations.
He added that a meeting of partner nations, comprising highly respected world leaders, would be convened in the near future to advance the initiative.
