Mughal Road Reopens from Feb 27; Traffic to Ply Under Strict Weather and Safety Conditions

Shopian, The District Magistrate Shopian on Thursday ordered the reopening of the Mughal Road for vehicular movement from February 27, 2026, subject to favourable weather conditions and absence of any unforeseen circumstances.

As per an official order, the decision follows communications received from the Officer Commanding, 52 RCC (GREF), Border Roads Organisation (BRO), concerning the stretch from Shopian (Km 0.00) to Peer Ki Gali (Km 40.550) on National Highway-701A.
