Anantang 24 March:Bijbehara Police on Monday apprehended two alleged drug peddlers during naka checking at Dara Shikwa Crossing. The accused have been identified as Mudasir Ahmad Bhat, son of Abdul Rahman Bhat, a resident of Astanpora Veeri, and Mohd Younis Sofi, son of Abdul Rashid Sofi, a resident of Guree Kanderpora.
During the operation, police recovered approximately 2.071 kilograms of charas (powder-like substance) from their possession.
A case under FIR No. 66/2026 has been registered under sections 8/20-29 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Bijbehara, and further investigation is underway.
